International Academy of Pathology IAP

The Norwegian division of IAP is closely integrated in the activities of the Norwegian Society of Pathology (DNP). All members of DNP are automatically members of IAP. Non-medical members may apply for associate membership in IAP through DNP.

Norwegian member of the International Council of IAP
For the first time since our membership in 1982 is Norway represented in a central board of the International Academy of Pathology. At the anniversary meeting of IAP in Montreal 2006, prof. Jahn M. Nesland was elected member of the International Council, as one of four members from Europe. The other three members from Europe are Günter Klöppel from Germany, Kristin Henry from the United Kingdom and George Kontogeorgos from Greece.
