Rationale:
Continuous CTG monitoring does not improve birth outcomes for low-risk pregnancies, and both national and international guidelines do not recommend its routine use. However, there is a discrepancy between guidelines and clinical practice. Continuous CTG restricts maternal mobility during labor and may increase the likelihood of unnecessary interventions.
