Rare disorders

Studies on Rare Disorders

Disorders with prevalences of 1 in 5000 or less are difficult to study in one single institution or unit. Examples of such conditions are adrenogenital syndrome (prevalence 1:14 000), utero-vaginal agenesis (1:5000), congenital Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVI, prevalence1:20 000). In order to obtain proper background information for guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of rare disorders, multicentre studies are mandatory.

In order to facilitate studies on rare illnesses in the Nordic countries, NFOG has decided to give economic support for studies on rare disorders related to the speciality of obstetrics and gynecology.

Applications can be made on the following form and sent to the Secretary General of NFOG.
