Required Preparations:
The course involves preparatory reading and writing.
- All participants must read a research paper provided ahead of the course.
- All participants must prepare the outline of a research paper describing their own research, consisting of title, abstract, tables and figures.
The abstract should be no more than 200 words and consist of four paragraphs, labeled
Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
There should be no more than five tables and figures, each with a separate heading.
If you do not have results to present in tables and figures, make dummy tables and figures (how
you aim to present your results). Tables and all text should be double-spaced.
Deadline for submission of abstract, tables and figures is Sunday, April 23.
The expected workload for preparation prior to the course date is 16 hours (30 hours in total).
