Berit Bringedal is a sociologist, PhD. She is a senior researcher at LEFO – Institute for Studies of the Medical Profession. Her research areas are physician behavior, values and attitudes, priority setting and distributive justice and social inequalities in health.

Perspectives from social science The presentation includes a brief review of research on the relation between doctors’ professional autonomy, professional content and health, as well as a discussion of how perspectives from the social sciences can contribute to throw light on these relations.
