OKAP-eksamen

The Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) International exam is a 260-item multiple choice test and is available for ophthalmologists practicing outside of the United States.

It is designed to measure the ophthalmic knowledge of trainees and identify specific areas needing improvement within the subspecialties. Test scores are shared with you, but are the property of the Academy and may be used to improve ophthalmic education.

The OKAP International exam is the same test given to U.S. trainees and most questions are based on information derived from the AAO's Basic and Clinical Science Course (BCSC) books.

The exam is available through international training programs, which can contact okapint@aao.org to schedule an exam date for residents. It is also available directly to individuals and will be offered on 29 June and 30 Aug. 2022.
